Paris...

What is it about France, Paris and all that is French that we all love?
I just got a lovely order from a European shop based in the USA for some lovely Paris baubles and Paris Lovelies… while I was making them I realized that Paris is so much to so many, a city of beauty, romance and culture.

It is a city full of passion, fashion, museums, amazing buildings, wonderful food and amazing wine…I love the history and the energy and the language…it is a wonderful city and beautiful country…

dotty knobs…

Just spotted some spotty and striped door knobs and I think they are great to jazz a kitchen or work room up…have them all mismatched…they put the ‘f’ in fun. I have a love for pokadots and strips. My niece choose a great teapot for her granny with lots of different colored dots and it never fails to make us smile when we use it.

Ikea...really loves Ikea

For those of you who live in the real world this will be a shocker…but until yesterday I was an Ikea virgin!! I had NEVER been…that is mental but true. Of course I had gazed at the catalogues, looked at the web site and admired the pieces that my friends have but never stepped foot inside a shop.

On Sunday I made up my mind to visit the new Ikea shop in Dublin…it was comparable to going on a first date…I dressed up put on the heels, a great FeeG dress and felt like I wanted to make an effort to in some way pay homage to the store that has introduced great style on a budget to houses all over the world.

Ikea did not disappoint…I LOVED it…I was a little giddy and did look a little silly as I oohed and ahhed to myself and wanted it all…all I can say is that it is en route to my boyfriends house and I will not be visiting him without a little detour to my new favourite lust that is Ikea.

Totally love the lamp...45 euro is a great price
Here are some of my buys…I held back but then I know this is not a one night stand…this store and me are long term.

Wake up to a little style

PS: On the side I do know of many solid relationships that have been severely tested in the bowels of the Ikea store so really unless your man is happy to push and carry and agree or remain silent...leave him at home.

Cleary's Dublin....

My goodies were spotted today in Cleary’s Department store in Dublin...I can't explain what a lovely feeling that is…for those who don’t know Cleary’s is an Irish landmark located on O Connell St in Dublin and under the clock in Cleary’s is where many of us met for dates (prior to mobile phones)...so I am totally chuffed to have my cards in that wonderful shop. Thanks Fiona for spotting them…Sigh....

What is rare is so so wonderful....

I love corsets, mannequins and I saw this piece about 7 years ago in Leda's home...it is amazing. Seemingly it was made to model the new Dr Warner Health Corset...it looked amazing on the top of Leda's stairs and would look in a bathroom, on a hall table or in a bedroom...This piece is just a complete gem...isn't she special? A gal can wish...here is the link in1era

New Scale....

This is my first time blogging so be patient with me. I am in the process of building my own home and it is so so exciting! I have always had the fantasy of renovating an old building but it never has happened so I decided to go with a new build but utilize as many old finds as I could to satisfy my obsession for vintage. I hope to share with you my finds, passions and the journey of my days…as I am in Ireland rain and the weather will also feature strongly! It is just the way we are…

My recent purchase is this amazing scale. I am going to use this in my kitchen and also in the packing room for weighing parcels before shipping…I just love the scalloped pattern and the fantastic mushroom and cream combination with red highlight! Totally love it…lucky me!
